Definitely a Mild. Of course you could add some extract or sugar if you wanted to.
Partial boil? If it should have been 1.045 at 5 gallons, to get 1.034 you’d need 6.6 gal, so something’s off.
True. It was mostly extract/honey, with some specialty grains (like a pound), so I don’t see how efficiency could go into this. Maybe my reading was bad somehow.
You’re adjusting for temperature, right? IIRC, hydromeders read accurately at 60F, so if your room is at 70F you’ll have to add .002-.003 per 10 degrees. That, combined with over watering could explain the differential.
Are you sure you got an accurate reading with that foam in the way? A little tough to tell from the picture but it looks like it might be reading more than 1.034 to me.
