issue with Summertime Ginger Ale for Big Brew 2016

I noted that the final gravity for the Summertime Ginger Ale for the Big Brew 2016 says 1.000.  I presume that is a mistake and therefore is messing with the ABV listed as 3.68%.  What is the intention, a 3.6% brew or a ~2.x% brew?

Anyone know what the efficiency is for the listed recipe?

Anyone brewed it and have feedback?

Thanks.

I have that one on my list to brew but haven’t got to it yet.  Pulling from the recipe listed

specs are:
Original Gravity: 1.028
Final Gravity: 1.000
ABV: 3.68%
IBU: 19
SRM: 6

That ABV is correct for 1.028 getting down to 1.000

It is clearly a very dry beer but not too surprising given 1 lbs of honey with only 3 lbs grain bill.

There is 0.5 lb of lactose, which should not ferment, so it seems that the final gravity should be above 1.000.

I did the extract version.
I think it finished at around 1.008?

I brewed the all grain of this back in April 2016. It had OG of 1.030 and it finished out at 1.009.  I’m not real sure how this recipe won a category as is.  Sent this off for judging and my highest score was a 34.  I liked the brew, and served it at a family get together on a hot day and it was well received, but from a competition standpoint I had a hard time determining the base style.  I just entered this as an experimental brew and the feedback was that it should either be a blonde or a cream ale.  Next time I brew this I’ll keep all the ingredients the same but add some more base malt to make it seem less dilute and bring it more to style for a cream ale.  The one positive was the ginger portions in terms of flavor were appropriate.  The complaint was just the body.  Cheers
