It is my pleasure to announce that the 3rd National Master Cup Home Brewing Championship of China is coming on Oct.15 of 2014. This event will be held at the 2014 Beijing Beer & Beverage Expo floor http://www.chinabrew-beverage.com/english/ . This tournament is the most reputable event organized by volunteer Chinese home brewers. Last year the event was held at the Dalian International Beerfest. 120 beer entered the competition. This year we expect more than 200 beers.
I am writing to see if there are any certified beer judges who happen to go to the Expo in Beijing on that date and are willing to sit in the judge panel for four hours. If so, would you please contact me at my email 909437738@qq.com. We badly need certified judges becuase they are hard to come across in China. Some International hop companies have agreed to provide judges, however the number is still not enough.
Started in 2010, the Craft Beer Movement in China has gathered more than 3000 home brewers to its name. Home brewers are brewing world class beers these days. However, lacking of qualified judge in China failed to provide them a fair recognizible platform.
We can’t afford the flight ticket either. We are a loose organization so we don’t have an entity to collect money for our event. So far the event is paid by individual brewers and some beer lover owned companies.
The key word is ‘happen’. we are looking for someone who HAPPENS to be there at the same time and who may want to help us. Hope this post candid us to the right ones.
