Hey Homebrewers,
I have a question about keeping the trub from the boil kettle and didn’t know what to search for so sorry if this is a repost. I just got a chronical 7 gallon fermenter and to save time on brew day I skip the racking part from BK to fermenter and just dump whatever is in the BK into the fermenter after I cool it down to pitching temp. The reason I do this is because after the trub settles for ~3 days I dump it and then once primary fermentation is over cold crash and I have never had any issues with clarity this way. Is there a down side to what I’m doing that I am missing?
Thanks in advance.
