For the kegerator owners out there, where do is your kegerator located and why?
Garage. My wife likes it better…, ummm…it’s a really nice spot for it there. 
Between kitchen and living room. Cuz its beer.
In the dining room, next to the bookshelf that’s serving as my liquor cabinet.
After 21+ years of brewing, I finally built a bar/taproom in my basement. Before that, I had the kegerator in the back entry just off the kitchen, close enough, but didn’t bother anybody–I think you all know who I mean.
This. I took the doors off the laundry closet so that it’s smack in the middle of the house.
Basement fridge.
Kitchen. Because we had the space, that’s where the glassware and other beverages are… and SWMBO is pretty tolerant. Also, I put some thought and work into making it match the cabinets and other appliances.
Laundry room. It’s just around the corner from our downstairs family room. It fit just right in the space and is close by my spot on the couch!
In the basement just off the downstairs living room.

Kegerator is in the garage, ferm chest in the kitchen. Mainly because I’m too lazy to move it in the garage. It would also block my dart board and that’s no good…
In the garage. There really isn’t space inside and it is directly off of the den.
In the garage. Already have a chest freezer and a mini-fridge in the basement and didn’t want to move a full size fridge down there.
For those of you who keep it inside, ever had any leakage or spillage?
Basement. And, yes, I’ve had a tap leak. Beer runs out of the fridge, across the floor, and into the floor drain.
Not a happy occasion when that happens, but it only happens from stupidity and laziness.
My brewing area and tap room in the shop. It just makes life easier and like HoosierBrew said, “It’s a really nice spot for it there.” It also gives me a place to go while the wife watches “Dancing with the Stars” and all those other shows of great viewing. If I want to watch TV, I can catch “Hogan’s Heroes” or other reruns on the shop TV while enjoy a homebrewed beverage.
In the basement in our old laundry room (the kids call it the bouncy house because of the carpet pad we used). It’s a good location for three reasons:
- There isn’t room anywhere else
- the room is between the family room and wood shop/brewery/Dad Cave
- If our guests can’t make it downstairs to get a beer they probably don’t need another one
Never had any major leaks, yet.
