Just wondering why leaf hops would bring ~$2 more per lb than pelletized. Noticed this on the Hops Direct site.
As an aside, I also noticed that variety is much greater with leaf.

My guess would be cold storage issues, the leaf takes greater space.
+1 on storage. I bought 5kg of leaf and 5kg of pellet hops, the 5kg leaf took up the same space (vacuum bagged) as -20- kg of pellet.
Storage space plus the fact that pellets are much easier to handle, weigh and package.
This…and pellets have a longer shelf life if properly vacuum sealed and frozen.
I went through a whole hop phaze but I’m back to pellets which give excellent bang for the buck. +1 on storage and handling characteristics.
Shipping alsol costs more volume-wise with whole hops.
