Lemon Pepper Kolsch Extract Recipe

I’m looking for an extract recipe for a Lemon Pepper Kolsch.  I’ve had a couple commercial ones lately and I’d love to try to make one.  Can’t seem to find a recipe anywhere.

Try reaching out to the brewers. Many of them are very willing to share their recipes, or at least give you some helpful info to get you started.

+1. I have had much luck with this on numerous occasions. For extract I would start with the lightest, closest to pilsner extract you can find and sub in some sugar for increased fermentability and low enough FG.

Basic kolsch recipe ad then add lemon zest and crushed black pepper to primary pr secondary. You could also make a vodka tincture. The question will be the volumes of pepper/zest. Per 5 gallons I’d start with the zest of 2 or 3 lemons and 2 oz of crushed black pepper (per 5 gallons) and then adjust from there.
