I just booked my room for the NHC, but it’s (gulp) like $700 with taxes and fees for four nights (Wednesday through Saturday nights). Does anybody know of a woman attending alone who would be hoping to share a room? I’ve never shared a room before, but the room has two queens and I’m almost never in there anyway, so I was hoping to find a roomie this year.
If you are interested, or know someone who may be going as a single woman (like me) and wanting to share, please let me know! I’m hoping to come into San Diego early, and stay at the beach or another resort for a few days before the NHC and not wanting to blow my entire hotel budget in 4 days!
Worse than that- I’m leaving TX for the north in just a couple of days! I hear the snow is melting (but not gone) and we’ll be home by mid-week next week. I’m going under protest, since I love it here. But I do love the UP also!

At the NHC, if I’m attending alone without my spouse, my roomie has to be also! So, that makes us ‘single’, at least for the weekend. And maybe it should be said that “What happens at NHC stays at NHC, unless you have the photographic evidence”.
I really am looking forward to San Diego this year! It’s yet another Beer Nirvana, and I’m excited to visit.

I’m actually going to be in San Diego for about 11 days, but only staying at the Town & Country on those four nights.
Gotta ask the OP - did you judge the Chicago round of SHV category on the Saturday afternoon of judging? I was in the set of judges next to you guys, if that was you. Your descriptors as I overheard you were really good. I think I learned through adjacency, if that is a word.
