Hey there! I’m new to this forum but wanted to share a recipe that I made and brewed with a couple friends this summer. We won a silver in the category of Strong Belgian Ales at the Winnipeg Brew Bombers Pro/Am Competition last night and being that this was our first competition and were not expecting much, we were very happy
Mow Your Lawn Saison
Ingredients:
2 kg Light DME (I believe Muntons)
0.5 kg Weyerman Munich Type 1
0.5 kg Canadian White Wheat Malt
15 g Galena (13.8%) at 60 min
28g Citra (13.3%) at 5 min
1 L starter Wyeast 3711
Mashed grains in 3L @ 65 degrees celsius for 45 min
Unconventional ingredients for a saison but I think it still tasted fairly traditional.
