I just ordered a 10 pack of regular Muntons for $16.99 on Amazon. It’s been getting harder to find at my usual suppliers which is a shame as it’s a highly underappreciated yeast that’s the perfect size for smaller batches.
I use it in bitters and milds with good results.
They just got delivered: all dated 12/23.
Dynamite. They’ll be good for years.
Back in 2020 I brewed a bitter with a four years past it date pack that turned out good.
You ever tried Munton’s Gold yeast? I tried it once years ago on the advice of Dan Listermann. I really liked it - the bitter I brewed had nice fruity esters and a full mouthfeel. A bit hard to find as well.

Not yet.
Do try it. It’s a good all rounder for English styles, very quick, very clear beer, very stable in the bottle. And a good flavour profile. Not big flavour, but makes good bitters and dark beers etc.
