I got a promotional email from NB this morning with this beer kit as the featured item. Never tried it, but I’ve had similar recipes. I don’t think I would want to bre five gallons of this beer, but would like to sample it.

Rogue makes Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Porter… in a bottle the color of Pepto Bismol. I have heard that it sells very well, but I have less than no desire to try it. Bleh.
Ack… Voodoo. It’s not good, nor is it a porter. A little roast would help but I still wouldn’t pay for a pint let alone make 5 gallons.

A local brewery here, 7th Sun, makes a doughnut beer. It’s dry doughnutted with Krispy Kremes in the keg. Tastes just like Krispy Kreme.

I’m generally opposed to the idea of meat in beer but I tried a brown ale on cask with bacon and it was actually pretty good but one 8oz. pour was enough.
