NHC Second Round Recipe Entry

Is anybody else receiving this error when they click “edit” on their entries to input recipe information?

Array ( [0] => Array ( [0] => 42000 [SQLSTATE] => 42000 [1] => 209 => 209 [2] => [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Ambiguous column name 'id'. [message] => [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Ambiguous column name 'id'. ) )

work in progress; Friday there wasn’t an Edit button.  8)

I’m sure it will work soon.

Yup

Yes, I emailed Janis and got an auto reply that states they are working on it.

Are there any deadlines/time-frames with second round entries at this point?  Anything that needs to be done in the near/immediate future?

Thanks

You should have your entries to Perrin Brewing Company between May 19th and June 2nd.

The recipe sheet was sort of working today.  It let me input my recipe but wouldn’t allow me to submit it.  It kept stating that I needed to select a style from a drop down menu but the drop down menu didn’t exist and the style was already listed automatically.

All the submission entry for me was for NHC 2013 (which I didn’t enter) so the drop off dates and location are both wrong.  The original letter I downloaded had all of the correct info but the letter attached to the “finals” site didn’t have any info.  I’m sure they will work all this out before time to ship.

Kyle, I tried the recipe sheet a few minutes ago, and it worked.

I could enter the recipe, but can’t seem to print or edit. Will try again tomorrow.

I could get it to work in mozilla but not in chrome

I still can’t get it to work in Chrome.

this is what I get.

SQLSTATE: 42000
code: 102
message: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near ‘2’.
SQLSTATE: 42000
code: 105
message: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Unclosed quotation mark after the character string ’ '.
SQLSTATE: 01000
code: 16954
message: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Executing SQL directly; no cursor.

I had to use mozilla

It’s wierd. I got one entered but the other one still throws this error. I used IE 348.9 (or whatever) to get the one in but when I tried to enter the second one it fails.

Are you using an apostrophe in any of your fields?  Sounds like they are not cleaning the fields before throwing them into SQL…

beer recipe went smoothly but for cider had a lot of errors before I figured out what characters it didn’t like in certain spots.

No I checked for special characters. The other recipe went in fine. The special ingredients field has the word ‘with’ in it  but I would be shocked… wait, this is SQL server… mildly astonished if the system couldn’t handle ‘with’ inside text in a field.

Hmm yeah I have no clue.  I used Chrome and entered a beer, a beer with specialty ingredients, and a mead without issue.

Just don’t name your recipe super hoppy ipa’; drop table recipes;

:slight_smile:

I actually had a MS access query named ‘Select …’ something that would hang the system everytime until I realized and renamed it ‘Selct …’ something. Lazy coding grrr.

Gah!

finally figured it out. ‘California Select 2 row’ is a problem phrase ‘CA Slct 2row’ on the other hand works like a charm.

Flash back to access
