Looking for advice/feedback/suggestions from those who have brewed NB’s Off the Topper, their Heady Topper clone.
It seems like a solid recipe and I would like to hear from others who have brewed this before.

Never brewed it, but I have a tip for using the hopshot. Pull off about a gallon of wort and stir will adding the hotshot to get it properly mixed, then dump it back in. Adding directly to the kettle can leave a tacky mess on everything.
Great advice Steve. It makes sense.

It is a solid recipe. I scored 39.3 and took second place Category 14 at the 2015 March Mashness competition.
Did you brew the recipe verbatim or have any changes?
Good contribution ;) jk You really need a +1 button on this forum, Jon, like over at HomeBrewTalk hehe
Never used hopshots, but thanks for the info, Steve. Perhaps I’ll try it soon.

I could have reworded what Steve said but I thought he covered it pretty well.

Brewed the eecipe as it was designed, no adjustments.
Brewed as ordered and was fantastic. Club members also felt it was close.
That is encouraging - thank you for the feedback.
