I was wondering if anyone has a experiencing mixing the same batch of beer that has been fermented with wet (wyeast 1335) and dry yeast (Safeale US-05). I have two 5 gallon fermentors full of the same batch that I could mix. I originally planned on just keeping them separate so I could experiment with the different outcomes. However, it occurred to me that it might be even better to mix the batches. And maybe I’ll just do a 1/3 mixed and the other 2/3 separate. Thoughts?
Why do you think blending them will make them better? Sounds like more of a hassle than it is worth. I’d just keg 'em and drink 'em.
I would blend in a Pyrex measuring cup and see if you like the results. That way you can play with ratios before doing a large mix and, saying that had too much of one or the other.
Well I know I have heard of lots of breweries blending. So being the curious person I am I thought of doing it.
Good idea I should try the measuring cup thing, didn’t think of that.
Usually you blend beers that compliment or contrast, I don’t see that here, but if you have an itch scratch it.
