Petsmart now offering 3 Guinea Pigs for the Price of ONE!

Well, for us anyway. We got my youngest son Max a Guinea Pig for Christmas. He named it Henry. This morning he says “Hey, Henry had babies!” My wife thought mice had gotten in the cage somehow over night. lol!

So, we are changing her name to Henrietta now. What a crazy coincidence. The really weird thing was a couple of weeks ago out of noweher I started calling the Pig a “she” to which my youngest had to constantly correct me.

I was wondering why that thing got so fat! Pics to come.

Ha!  That happened to us when my daughter was a youngster.  I think at one point we had eight of them.  They were pretty easy to give away though.

OK, here’s the best part. We posted a Q on a Guinea Pig forum about what to do and are getting fussed at for buying our Pig at a pet store and for not being aware of proper care. I wanted to tell them I made a yeast starter and read How to Brew, but I didn’t think they’d get it.  :stuck_out_tongue:

ROFLMAO thats GOLD!

kin ya eat um?

andrew zimmern does…

Here I expected an Alabama crack out of you… ;D

They need to be a little bigger - they won’t fill the crock pot quite yet. (Hope Cap doesn’t see that!) ;D

We bought two “female” gerbils when I was a kid. A couple months later, seven babies. So then we had to start separating the males and females, and Papa Gerbil didn’t get along with the kids, so we had to have three cages… my parents were thrilled.

What ever you do dont do them in the crock pot. Do them on an open fire with a stick, like marshmallows.

…either that or live directly into the microwave.

come on guys don’t you know what they are REALLY for? oh, wait thats hamsters.

Capp will alomg to let us know the best preparation. And congrats on being a dad Major! .

Yeah, well now you know how all the new guys feel when you cuss them out right from the start for fermenting to warm, and not making a starter. Serves you right!!  ;D

Do Guinea pigs go in the boil, or do you have to MASH them first?

If you keep 'em alive, won’t they create lots of “pellets” you can use?

You know those pigs will multiply quickly…that’s if you have a male. If you have two males you’ll have to separate them.

Deep Fried! Juicy meat, crispy skin!

Don’t forget the wing sauce.

SSSICKKKK!!!
