I found an IPA that I like. Well, another one. So now there’s maybe 3 or 4.

pFriem Blonde IPA:
A - piney grapefruit zest, clean mixed fruity fermentation
A - brilliant straw with tiny bubbles and a thin bright white head and lace
F - pretty much matches the aroma, plenty firm bitterness with a piney grapefruit flesh ant zest followup. Finishes dry and clean with a pleasant grapefruit aftertaste
M - medium-light bodied, no stickiness, slickness, or astringency
O - ranks up there with PTE in my opinion, my favorites (that I can get easily) are FW Union Jack, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed,  and now pFriem.

That sounds good, man. It’s cool how the style is evolving. Drier and more drinkable is a good thing to me. Still a lot of sweet, thick, caramelly ones in the stores, though.

Around here there are too many that are just shitty beer with lots and lots of course bitterness and dank gank stank flavors. Beer should be drinkable

I agree, it’s gotta be drinkable. If you don’t want another, it’s a failure.

Have you been to the pub Jim? They have quite a few great beers as well as good food and an amazing atmosphere right by the river. It is probably my favorite beer destination outside of Portland or Seattle. Although Bale Breaker is pretty great too.

I was going to take the other position and ask if you had any of their other beers. I went one time in Hood River and although I probably did not drink the IPA I didn’t find myself super impressed with what I had.

Their brewery is a nice place with open view of the brewhouse and right off the river. The food looked good but I didn’t have a chance to try it.

pFriem is really doing some well balanced work.  They made a Belgian holiday ale last year that was simply beautiful.
