Looks like they’re getting out of the ground today and tomorrow.
Who wants to be the last one in the hole?
From what I’ve heard, it’s more like “who doesn’t want to be the last one in the hole”. I think they’d all like to make sure everyone else gets out first. Shouldn’t be long now, but it’s supposed to take up to 48 hours to get all of them out. I can only imagine . . .
Awesome that they are all still alive but the smell must be ta awful.
Bet they cant wait to get out and take a long hot shower, hug their families and then have a big plate of Chilean sea bass.
they said that it takes 20m for the capsule to decend but 40m to accend… that times 34 ( a Dr went down to give them a once-over and see who needs to go first) they also showed somewhere what their 1st meal out of the ground would be… didn’t look to much solid food, not very appetizing either.
Hopefully they’ll all be out by the time I get home. Then a multitude of pints will be raised (regardless).
Actually it’ll probably be well into tomorrow by the time they are all out.
Incredible…they’ll be telling their stories for years to come.

My bet is that the last one up will be the one that’s got both the wife and mistress waiting topside
Weren’t they sending that Sea Bass down the tube for them to eat while they waited? 
My very thought…Mrs. Tubercle and I were discussing this last night as we were watching the news. Poor bastard.
I can’t believe they are all alive after this though. Raising a pint and wising them well.
Going to raise “2” pints for poor bastard.
I guess the first guy is about to come up. His daughter is standing by the tube waiting. Ill bet that ride up is a long 20 mins.
Ever been down in a mine, yikes, I wouldn’t want to spend one night down there. Were they without lights for a while?
For 69 days. And how long before we knew they were even alive?
I had heard that the 1st one out would be strongest and most physically fit, to make sure the the tube and capsule
were in working order and to be able to react to any unforeseen need. Either way, Cheers to them!
It was 17 days before they knew they were alive, surviving on 2 days worth of rations. It’s not some cramped space down there though, they had a lot of room. One of them was running 5 miles a day. 3 rescuers are in, 3 miners are out. Amazing. 
Evidently they’ve all “sworn a vow of silence” concerning what happened down there. God only knows they could have been eating each other before they were discovered.
I’m finishing up that first pint! Woohoo get’em all out!

Glad to hear some good news about these stories for a change.
this happened to a guy on my submarine. returned from sea, both standing on the pier. we escorted one in to the wardroom while the guy ran topside through the engine room hatch. he told the one on the pier he had duty that night and would call her the next day. then ran below decks to explain the same thing to the girl in the wardroom. they never met and did not see him at the same time.
Looks like #21 to be rescued is “da man”.
Worked 5 years @ underground mining. What is striking to me is the fact that
this was a successful endeavor. Often times in the past you know these kinds of things
did not turn out favorably. Cheers to them hoist, glug, glug, glug…
