I never had the pleasure of meeting Don, but his reputation was huge. He kinda put the “Beer” in Beervana. Hoist one for a man who helped make the PNW beer scene what it is today.

I was fortunate enough to have met Don several times, most notably a few years back we hoisted several pints together at the Rogue pub in Newport OR, and then we ran into each other again the next day for more beers at Siletz Brewing just up the road. Talking to him was a real treat, he’ll be missed. 
I guess we have to make a choice on how we live, Don chose his lot with live strong and hard to finish with a WOW that was fricken fun.
God bless all of you that have met him and have been inspired by him. If you have never met him may you be inspired by his life, chose how you want to live but don’t deny Don’s life as he choose his way out, Honor a Man who had the balls to say FU to life! These are my terms.
