I’m on the other side of the fence. My wife and I love the show, even though you can tell much of it is staged. Really like how the Robertsons are centered around family and faith. I’ll put it this way, I’d much rather have my daughter turn out to be like a Robertson than a Kardashian.
I don’t get the fascination with this show. I was told it’s hilarious so I watched an episode. It was sixty minutes of a bunch of long beards arguing over who was going camping and who was going to make some duck calls. Neither funny nor entertaining.
Not a huge fan of the show, like all reality TV it is staged and scripted, but the family has a good message and seems fairly genuine. Agree with the earlier post, I’d much rather my kids turn out like them then some of the other reality TV personalities.
I agree that I would not want my kids to turn out like a Kardashian, but is it ok I don’t want them to turn out like a bunch of long bearded rednecks either? ;) I’m pretty sure there’s a vast middle ground.
I’m pretty sure his will be red, and if she has a beard she has a beard :) They’ve got the barefoot part down too at least, and as it turns out, the XS gloves one of the grad students uses fit their hands very well. They’re probably the only ones in their classes who have looked at neuroblastoma cells through a microscope.
