# Scottish 60 = Good.

Scottish 60 + a splash of bourbon = Great

Got kind of bored with the \< 3% ABV Scottish 60 I made.&nbsp; A splash of bourbon adds a good deal of flavor.&nbsp; I don’t think I got enough caramelization when I made it.

IIRC, in Charlie’s NCJOHB, he refers to “hot Scotchies”.&nbsp; I tried it years ago…took some warm BW wort and added Scotch.

I think Michael Jackson mentioned adding some single malt to first runnings in _great beers of belgium. 6th ed._&nbsp; Ever since reading that, I’ve been indulging in a wee nip at mash out.&nbsp; great stuff, by the way!
