Second brew in the bottle

Second brew is officially in the bottle.
I wasn’t sure if a secondary would actually do anything for the beer, man I was wrong.
The color changed, the clarity was great.
We did a final gravity check, I filled the tube, Tyler took the reading.
He took the traditional swig for the hydrometer tube, “Ohhh buddy. That’s a good beer!”
As I started to fill the bottles, I looked up and saw him smile and offer me the hydrometer.
It’s a good beer.
O.G. at 1.071 with a F.G. at 1.012.
7.74% Beautiful deep Gold/slight orange color, which messed me up because it looked deep brown when it was in the glass carboy.

I had a few No boil kits come in, we’re going to mess with flavoring, like Vanilla Honey Wheat, a Strawberry Pilsener. Might need a few recommendations for this.
I got a One gallon kit for Christmas, we’re going to try different styles of beer and see what we like, Stouts, Porters, Wit.

I’m enjoying myself too much, brewing beer.
I wish I would have found it sooner.

If you’re not dead yet, it’s not too late!  Brew on, man! 8)

What sort of beer did you brew, and was it all grain? Extract? Congrats on your success, that gives me encouragement!

It was an extract kit, we’re going to do our first all grain sometime soon. A Belgian Saison.
