Does anyone know where to get 7-8oz brown glass bottles?
Rogue is going to start releasing their XS series beers in shorties, you can wait until they come out and then drink a bunch.
I saw that and it got me thinking. I have been hesitant to brew big beers because I am using a 5 gallon MLT and I haven’t wanted to brew less than 5 gallons to hit those higher gravities without adding extract. If i could bottle big beers in smaller serving sizes I think I would be happy with 50 8 oz beers. Drinking Rogue may be about the most expensive way to aquire 50 bottles. I am really curious what they will charge per bottle…
Yes for a brewery that says they do everything as cheap as possible their beer is some of the most expensive in the stores around where I live. I wouldn’t choose drinking a bunch of their beer as the way to acquire bottles unless you’ve got an endless supply of cash.
I’ve seen both Budweiser and Busch packaged in six-packs of 7 ounce bottles.
I collect the Scaldis bottles which are 8.4 oz. They are expensive but delicious.
I forget what size they are, but Flying Dog was releasing their bigger beers in small bottles. IIRC they were in 8-packs.
I’ll never go back to them
PITA to bottle with
