Anyone out there try these yet?
Pils is enjoyable
The IPA is flawlessly average
I really dig the Double IPA. That hop would play nice in a funky beer. Or dang near any hoppy American style. Easy drinking base beer too, holy smoke.

Almost bought the mix pack today but decided that at the end of a brew day I’d just drink my own. SN X hop pack worth it overall? (I’m usually mix pack averse because even if I really like one and others are pretty good, there always seems to be one stinker that makes me feel I’ve wasted my money.)
Mine was $20. I say worth it for what it is. 3 each of 4 different well made beers with new unnamed hops. Home brewer or beer geeks delight. Are they all BJCP world class examples? Who really cares? I like it! Makes me happy.
But, if you look them up, one calls for coconut notes. I’m not getting coconut, but I’m just a glorified solo cup guy
I liked the session IPA and the pils the best. The IPA was underwhelming and I thought the double IPA was okay.
Finally got the pack, tried SIPA and IPA, could maybe kinda sorta imagine coconut in either one. More to come maybe.
Enjoying the Pils tonight. Really enjoying. The hops are interesting, but it hasn’t forgotten it’s a Pils. So many American hopped Pilsners (Founders PC, e.g.) come off like a clean SIPA. [BTW and FWIW: take your favorite Pils recipe. Sub Simcoe for all the hops. Did this last summer, loads of fun.]
DIPA. Mmm. Best of the bunch. Just a delicious, balanced ale. Is there a chance of the base recipe being available outside of the X hop project? Hope so.
Ya the double was my fav
