It’s a moot point now since I’ve cold crashed my starter but, I had a 1 liter/1 tube wlp001 starter on the stirplate for 48 hours. I put it in the fridge to cold crash. I noticed a half hour later it had a bit of foam on the surface. I don’t know if this was krausen or CO2 action. Also I kept the starter at about 72-74F for the first 36 hours then unbeknownst to me, my wife shut off the air conditioner and over about the last 8 hours it crept up to about 76-77F. I’m gonna decant so I’m wondering if I will suffer any off flavors.
Thanks for any guidance.
