Study confirms alcohol can lead to unsafe sex

So THAT’S where all these kids keep coming from…
I wonder how much grant money they got to fund that study??? The next thing could be… drinking beer gets you drunk. 
And our tax dollars probably paid for the study. :'(
Remember everybody, our tax dollars pay for a lot of things that may seem silly and pointless at first, but have huge implications that may not always be immediately evident. Case in point, quantum mechanics => nearly every type of electronic device in use today.
This study seems irrelevant, but if you click through to the article abstract you’ll see that it’s aimed to try to find new ways to reduce AIDS transmission.
Also, the Canadians paid for it, not the US.

If it’s valid research then I have no problem with it, but much of the money is wasted on BS projects, just like this one. Any idiot, without a full blown study, can figure out that alcohol contributes to more unprotected sex, which will ultimately lead to more AIDS transmission. Most of us have probably been test cases. 
I also hear that unprotected sex can lead to babies.
You could also say that too much alcohol leads to abstinance if you think about it.
Very true, but remember, for some orgs, if you want to do something that involves money (like an ad campaign reminding people to use condoms when they drink) you typically need a study of this sort to show the boss in order to get your funding.
Now if only we could get Canada to fund all the silly studies…
