Tettnanger

Just ordered 1 lb 2022 Tettnanger dried leaf from Hops Direct.
From what I read they’re good, never used these hops before.

I really like them. Of course, they’re perfect for German styles, work great for Belgians. I even pair them with Cascade for my Nick Danger Porter recipe and it’s a great combo.

I like them - they are in my (middle-low AA) German hop choice along with Mittlefruh or Hallertauer for alternates for late hop additions in my lagers.  I bitter with Magnum, typically.  I hope you like them.  Cheers!

Good to know.
Guess you can’t go wrong with the Noble Hop family.

I just brewed an American wheat with tettnanger and willammette.

If you ordered from Hops Direct, these are likely US Tettnang rather than German.  US Tettnang are supposedly Fuggles, rather than a US-grown Tettnanger. I’ve only ever used German Tett, so I can’t comment on the flavor difference, but YMMV on these.

US Tett is not a lot like Fuggles, but it’s not exactly like German Tett either. I find the German has more floral/herbal quality to it. At least that was true 15-20 years ago.

Last hop season (2021) 1 lb Willamette and 1 lb Liberty (both dried leaf) were ordered, 4 ounces are left.
Hops are vacuum sealed in 2 oz increments.  This year 1 lb Willamette and 1 lb Tettnanger will be ordered.
Willamette dried leaf are not available yet from Hops Direct.  Ordered Tettnanger the first day available.

Great minds think alike :>
