they show that by 1904 (for all of france presumably) there was a massive amount of german made imported beer vs english
that is really interesting as i had heard that in the mid 1800s, english beer dominated continental europe for import demand. i can believe this is true, with the rise of bavarian region brewing industries, but i wonder what factors were at play - franco-prussian war establishing a forced economic connexion? advertising? preference swinging so apparently drastically is huge.
