This may be the best idea I've had all year...

Geocaching for brews. I mean really… I’d walk a mile in the woods in my loafers for a beer. I wonder if it would work

Of course, there’s no reason the geocache can’t be in a pub…

I think the “official” geocache folks frown on that.

I like your pub idea. The cache could be a puzzle that when solved and given to the bartender earns a beer. I used to live near a bar where folks could prepay for a beer for somebody else.

I was at an Appalachian Trail cabin once and there was a note in the log about checking under the dock. We checked and it was a 6 pack of beer in cans. Cold too since it was in the lake. Without water though it would just be warm beer - blah.

Now That’s the idea!

It would be cool for a brew pub or tasting room to brew a one off “secret” batch and if anyone can identify the style and or any of the ingredients, The brew is free.

I think I’ll set some caches near my favorite beer establishments and if they feel so inclined to stop in for one, so be it.

My son, wife and I just did 3 geocaches in Ireland when we were there at the end of April.  We left some tags and now 2 are on their way to Austria and the other to Germany.  We really enjoy the “treasure” hunt!
