Travel Taps on the cheap

…if you have a kegerator that you can temporarily cannibalize.  This cost me about $15 for the shelves and $5 for the hinge.

Link does not work for me.

Nice setup

The link worked for me - you might need to be logged in to a facebook account.

I got right though to the linked album and I hadn’t logged onto FB previously.

Nice little setup. Saves on the expense of cold plates which can be the most expensive part of a jockey box even if you have to go out and buy the taps, shanks, etc.

You have the kegs pre-chilled and then the ice keeps it cold?

Are you running the beer lines through the icewater as well? I’d worry about how much they might warm up on the trip out of the keg, causing a bunch of foam. Seems like it poured ok though, that beer’s got a beautiful color to it.

There is only a couple inches of run between the ice and the tap.
