Twist n' Sparkle

Sounds like a kids board game but is actually a carbonating device from Williams-Sonoma. Wondering if it would work for small (32 oz) amounts of beer.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.  It seems like an expensive way to go if you plan on doing it a lot, but that’s your call.

why not just use a carbonator cap and an mt 2L soda bottle.

How do those carbonator caps work anyways? Do you purge the 2 liter with CO2? Or do you pour the beer right in it then add the C02 on top of it?

Most of the time that I use mine is to see how a batch came out that I was fermenting. After racking the finished beer to a keg, there is always a quart or two left so, I pour it in a funnel on top of a two liter bottle, jack the regulator up to 32 psi and shake the bottle so it absorbs C02 and gets carbonated. I’m not worried about oxidation because I drink it immediately.
