Utility Tub...calling all plumbers

I have a real nice Stainlee Steel Utility Tub that was given to me. I want to install it in my basement for cleaning my beer equipment. I have a sewage pump to pump the grey water up to the main drain.

I am not a plumber but was wondering if anyone on the forum is or has experience in plumbing. I have done small jobs like installing new faucets and repairing toilets but this is a full blown installation that I am taking on.

I currently have all PVC drains and CPVC supply.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Seriously though, pvc and cpvc are pretty easy to work with.  Try pitching your drain at least a 1/4" per foot of run, but if this is just a sink that will see nothing but water/sanitizer solution, you could probably run at 1/8" per foot and still be ok.  Also, leave a window a crack while using the glue and primer.  If not you might find yourself with an unintentional buzz and SWMBO tends to complain about the smell.

I’m in the process of designing a basement remodel, which will include a brewing area.  I plan on doing the work myself, and although I spent many a weekend decades ago doing this type of work, I still need reference steps to ensure I don’t miss somehting.  Here are my current reference sites - hope they help!

Thanks for the links they’re a big help. As I said, I’m not a plumber so I really appreciate any and all help I can get.

I have to lay it all out and make a BOM before I get started. I hope to lay it out next weekend.

I’ll let you know if I hit any road blocks.

Also, when you tighen the compression fittings on your trap, do not over tighten them. It will leak just as fast over tightened, as if under tightened.
