Well that's a first!

Brewed a saison yesterday. Let it cool to pitching temps over night. Got up this AM, sanitized my aeration stone, got my thermowell cleaned up the heat wrap installed, aerated. Done! Good, smooth brewday.

Problem is, here I am at 4pm in the afternoon, sitting down ready to pull a pint and I just realized … I forgot to pitch the yeast!!! Dho! how stoopid is that? :frowning:

That’s a sign of a man with too much on his mind!

Yeah, I was also trying to get a boston butt on the smoker simultaneously.  ;D

I once held a Belgian tasting (back before we really had any good selection in the state) and had made two beers that day. Woke up in a cold sweat the next morning worrying I had forgotten to pitch the yeast only to find they were happily fermenting away. Two lessons learned - don’t drink too much before pitching yeast, you don’t have to drink every beer in your possession at one sitting

At least you know for certain you didn’t pitch warm…

+1

Did you pitch the yeast yet?

Just checking.  ;D

LOL… ;D…
Did you pitch it yet???

How about Now???

Now??

lol! Yeah, I pitched it. And Dixon, the really bad thing was I hadn’t been drinking anything but coffee!! Had I been drinking at least I would have had a legitimate excuse!

Probably want to keep those “whoops” on a homebrew scale… ;D

lol! Good point.

Were you drinking you probably would have remembered  ;D

I think that beer has a name

Slipped my mind Saison
