Anyone use this grain before? Looking for some feedback on it good or bad. Its one of those malts I have yet to incorporate into any of my beers. Thanks!
Yeah, I love it. One of the key ingredients in my Waldo Lake amber recipe. Site Not Found
I love it too. Leaves a nice malty taste, not a crystal-malt taste. Seems like you can use it up to about 20% of the grain bill (and if you want it to really import a deep red color you will need about that much unless you use some other specialty grains.)
Excellent malt! I made Denny’s amber and it was the best amber I’ve made yet
A royalty, or a sample, to Denny would be in order.
Alas, batch is long gone! Will buy his new book though!
Cool. I guess it is time to give that malt a whirl then…Thank you all for your feedback.
just made my pale ale…has 16.4% carared. good stuff.
