I have a 2.5" receiver on the back of my D-max… there’s a 2" insert. I use a locking hitch pin… a pin, a lock and a plastic cover. The other day I was coming out of the store and discovered the scene below on my back bumper… after driving 8 miles…Apparently I had forgotten to put the pin back in after I removed one of the hitches…

Went to the grocery store one day, about a 5 mile trip. Went up to pay, and no wallet. Drove back home to get it. Backed in the drive like I always do, and on walking in the house, saw my wallet laying on the bumper of my truck. :-[
Not many weeks after, I was driving home from Home Depot, with a truck bed full of 4x4’s. While driving down the freeway at 60 mph, so dude pulls up next to me honking for me. I roll my window down, and he yells “Hey man, there’s a wallet laying on your bupmer!” :-[
Just glad you werent’ hooked to a trailer. honestly, anytime I pull our camper, for some reason, that’s my biggest fear.
And hey, at least you had that whole “fish” deal to make up for it! ;D

If there’s one thing I miss about the US that’s not great beer, diners and REAL BACON, it’s trucks. You can get 'em here, but a Ford F-250 will cost you the same as a Mercedes SLK. wish I had a bumper to leave my wallet on
