What beverage to drink this weekend?

So i am a little familiar with styles and such. I was wondering what kind of style should i get to enjoy this weekend?
What style is good for the month of april?

The liquor store by my house has hundreds of different craft beers from places and that all they do so my plan is to build a six pack of one style but from different breweries.

What are you thoughts?

I’d recommend an ale or a lager  :stuck_out_tongue:

I would go with the style you’re most interested in brewing.

I think I’d get 2, six packs that is…

I am interested it what the seasonal one is right now I guess. I have two batches going on right now and I have brewed all the basics so now I want to go a little more indepth try something different

Seems like this time of year is when you see lighter, refreshing seasonals begin to come out. Blonde, or a Pils maybe?  Do you lager yet? I don’t have the temperature control for it yet but I’m looking forward to it someday soon.

I am trying to taste different styles. I have been brewing longer then I have been able to legallly drink so in the past I couldnt buy it I had to make it to try something different I had to brew it. Picking a style has been a shot in the dark traditionally for me.

Yeah I have temp control I am making a bohemian lager modeled after dos equis. Getting a fridge with temp control was one of the best things I bought bc I can lager and when it’s too warm outside in can keep my fermentors at 68 degrees for ale.

Thanks for the suggestions it’ll get me started and guide me at the beverage store tomorow

Marzen? it’s a little late but… Mai bock? Belgians are almost always welcome in my fridge.

April  -  Dogfish Head Aprihop…    shuh…

Sam Adams has it Summer Styles variety pack out. They have a new Rustic Saison and East-West Kolsch, as well as their Summer Ale, Latitude 48 IPA, Boston Lager and SA Light.

I want to try the Saison and Kolsch; I guess I will have to suffer thru the rest.

It’s IPApril!  ;D

thanks for the suggestions. I live in minnesoat so I can’t get dogfish…bummer

I finally broke down a few weeks ago and bought the last (Spring?) SA variety pack just so I could try their Rye Ale.  Once again I was a little disappointed.  Tasted like a boring Pale ale with a hint of Rye.  Don’t get me wrong, It was very drinkable.  Probably what I should expect from SA.  It seems most of their stuff is “Inside the Box” these days.  I am impressed that they did a Saison and a Kolsch.  I’ll have to try them.  SA is the 1st micro I ever drank back in the day and got me started on the better beer path.  I suppose there will always be a little place in my heart for them.  Still love that Cream stout!

Speaking of Variety packs.  If you get a chance check of Shiner’s Family Reunion Pack.  Of course it has the Bock, Blonde, and Black Lager.  It also has 3 new(er) beers.  The Spring Ale which is a Dortmunder (style), an Alt, and another lager called Kosmos that I really enjoyed.  IMO, The Alt and the Kosmos are the best beers that they’ve done in years.

+1  it’s always IPApril here at Rocky Mountain Buckeye!!  8)

I will have to see if they have it. I swear minnesota is kind of stil in the prohibition bc our selection is slim to non. And if it’s not made by miller or bud you have to pull a second mortgage to buy a six pack of craft brew or it may be just where I am looking to buy
