What gravity is primary fermintaion done?

Hi all
What gravity is primary fermintaion done?  Doing a old ale (1.078-1.08) and was wondering what the usual gravity reading is when primary is done.  I know that the krausen should wane but was looking for something more specific.  I have the Brew Balls so I don’t have to mess with a thief and what not.

Thanks, Cheers.

“I got the BALLS Baby!”

It is done when the gravity doesn’t change for several days.

Assume 75% attenuation and with a 1.080 OG that would be 1.020.  Do NOT take this as golden, there are many, many factors that affect attenuation that could throw this number off.  Always use the first criteria

So transfer the beer to secondary vessel after 75% attenuation.  That much huh?

That’s not what I said,

To decide to secondary at all I’d need to know the details of what you are brewing.  What I said was that fermentation is complete when the gravity stops changing.

Most beers do not require a secondary.
