What type fittings are these?

The ones on either end of the sight glass holding it in place.

They appear to be stainless compression fittings found in plumbing

That’s what I was thinking, but trying to figure out what the tubing material for the sight glass is and how to get a good seal.

For the tubing you could use polycarbonate or borosilicate glass (McMaster-Carr) and use a couple of silicone O-rings in place of the metal compression ring.

That’s how my sight glass is constructed. I bought it from www.bargainfittings.com

Thanks. If you get around to it, can you post a pic?

You mean like this?

It is this one.

Nice blurry pic here.

Edit: Another one. Still doesn’t show you how it’s constructed.

Error 404

Lmao

It almost looks like they are using 2 fittings, the first uses the gaskets to seal around the site glass and the second sleeves from the first to the second with a standard and an piece of stainless tubing is used to connect the 2 fittings

Funny…

Thanks for all the input. I ordered some polycarbonate tubing and compression fittings from Wayne at bargainfittings.com. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I guess it depends on where you are using it in your system, but polycarbonate is only good to 200oF.  Borosilicate glass would be a better choice.

It’s going after the chiller and O2 injection, so it should be around 60-70*.

Cool!  No pun intended.
