Nothing on my side of the fence, I have to go to Southern California Homebrewer’s Festival!
Was planning on picking up ingredients for 2 batches, a cream stout and a porter, my first 2 all-grain brews!
Another batch of the ESB for me.
No brewing, but dry-hopping an English barleywine, bottle-washing, and a little “research” (plus I expect Gordon’s book will arrive by then for some real research)
A Belgian Wit!!
SSoS. Gonna work it in between fishing for walleye, the river’s loaded up. Yum!
It’s a triple decocted Bo-Pils on Saturday for the Pilsner Urquell Master Homebrewer Competition on August 8th at The Big Apple.
I’ll be wearing my brewing shoes on Saturday. ;)
I will be sampling my blonde and scotch ales and racking my golden belgian to a secondary.
American Brown Ale
Going to brew a Kolsch tomorrow morning.
Today:
-Taste-testing my strawberry cider - I think it’s gonna need more extract.
-Sorting/categorizing several hundred bottles/entries for the Puget Sound Pro-Am homebrew competition.
Friday:
-Judging at the Puget Sound Pro-Am at Larry’s Brewing Supply in Kent, WA.
Saturday:
-More judging & possibly trying to meet w/ a few board members of the Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery in Seattle.
Sunday:
-Brewing an Imperial IPA & kegging my Chamomile Ale to let it start conditioning.
Brewing a cali common. First attempt at converting an extract recipe to all grain. Going to be first brew I keg as well.
No brewing…again :( I’ll be recalibrating my boil kettle volume to see where I lost on the test run batch 2 weeks ago. Speaking of…I’ll be taking the initial gravity reading on that 1. It should go to kegs around the middle of next week. O’fest brew day is coming up 5/8.
-J.K.L.
Right now I’m boiling wort for a 1.100 Burton ale that is destined to go into a used up bourbon barrel (with similar beers brewed by other club members) to be aged for a year.
You have to? :) You lucky guy!
I’ll be sleeping most of the day on Sat. getting ready for what looks to be a 24 hour work shift on Sun.
Double decocted Bavarian hefeweizen. The first in a series. 8)
Nothing for me. Waiting for my first batch to bottle-condition.
Brewing an Irish stout Friday.
Not brewing, but going to Toer de Gueze! Also anxiously watching the shipping status of my HopRocket: http://www.spedpoint.com/customers/dhl/dhl_status.jsp?consignmentNo=6066349470
O’fest has hit TG so kegging that to start it lagering. Dry hoping an English IPA and running around like a maniac for my Son’s first tournament of the spring season. I think I heard the wife mention something about “yard work” but I have no idea what she is talking about!
