ZOINKS! :o
My first attempt at an IPA on Sunday.
Will be brewing 10 gal. of an Octoberfest. A friend is coming over to help and he will be getting half the batch when it is done. I just kegged my Imperial IPA so it should be ready to drink in a few days.
I am itching to brew. Busted grain mill says otherwise… ![]()
Brewed an American pale ale. Reused my yeast from an earlier batch of the same. First time for doing that. What was I waiting for? EASY PEASY.
I want to brew an AG batch- a Brown ale. But the forecast sez: 101*, 101*, 101*, 102* with indexes of 107-109F.
Not sure I’m up for that type of punishment. :-\
No brewing… All family stuff piled on with weekend work (super-busy weekend for my job). Though I convinced visiting family to go to a local brewpubs for dinner (Magnolia) and I had a most wonderful wet-hopped bitter.![]()
No brewing this weekend. The garden is full of produce that wants to become food. Putting up dill pickles and salsa this weekend.
Brewed an American Pale Ale (Robbers Gulch Pale Ale) with the lucky winner of the Relay For Life raffle. This is the second year I have donated “brewing lessons” as a prize to help raise money for the Relay For LIfe cancer walk.
The brewing went well…even had a nice boil-over so my raffle winner is no longer a “newbie”.
Brewed a hefeweizen (Hausfrau Hefe)
Brewed a Kolsch yesterday. One of the few brew days when absolutely nothing went wrong.
I think you just guaranteed your fermentation will be screwy.
Thirty gallons brewed this weekend:
Vader (Cascadian Dark Ale)
Fetchez la Vache (Biere de Garde)
Belgo-Rouge IPA (Belgian Red IPA)
Whew! I need a nap.
Love the name ![]()
