What's Brewing This Weekend - 8/6 Edition

What’s brewing? Something? Anything?

I’m not sure if I’ll be brewing this weekend, but it looks like I may be signing the biggest check of my life ever.

Oktoberfest!

Oatmeal Stout, but on Tuesday - “my weekend”

What did I plan to brew… Hefeweizen

What am I brewing

Nuttin

Broken ribs gonna keep me on the shelf a while I guess

Ouch.  I’ve been there before.  Hope you feel better.

No Brewing, but I am buying a kegging system!!!  This is better than christmas!

Buying a house?

Probably nothing brewing again this weekend for me.

yup, just put the earnest money into escrow. gulp

Congrats!  It takes a bit of time to get used to that kind of debt but well worth it in my experience.

Brewing on Monday.  It’s hot enough in the house these days that I think it’s time for my annual saison (fermented ~85F).
Bottling a belgian wit.
Oaking a sour belgian “brown” (not brown at all! – one pound of dark candi sugar rocks did hardly anything!  I was only really hoping to get a bit of color out of them, but nope.  Just a golden color rather than pale straw.)

Tomorrow is slated to kick out a TommyKnocker Imperial Nut Brown ale clone.

Oh, and Blatz . . you were right. I just “thieved” a hydro sample of the Old Jubilation. OUTSTANDING!

Brewing my Kolsch with 1056 (because my kegs are running empty!!)

Buying a house?  Congrats, Drew!  I’m on my 3rd…by that time, you kinda get over the amount of $$ involved!

I’m starting work on a rye pale recipe this Sum.  First time through, then I’ll start tweaking.

Get well soon, Jeff!

Nothing brewing this weekend.  Working on my kegerator.  I also need to build a collar for my fermentaion chest.

I’m planning to brew a Munich Helles very soon.

Nothing this weekend.  Next is a wee heavy for my lovely bride.  Congrats on the house Drew!  Get well soon Jeff!  Ribs are not fun, even worse than a broken tailbone!

Hopefully get some time to brew a Raspberry wheat ale for my fiance. Any suggestions on the recipe? I’m still doing extract.

6.6# Wheat extract
1 oz Mt Hood hop pellets 4.7AA 60 mins
2 oz Hallertauer Mittelfruh 3.0AA 15 mins
Whirlfloc tablet
Wyeast 333 German Wheat in a starter
4# Raspberries

Should I put a pound of some wheat grain at like 155 for an hour?

Do I add the raspberries at the end of the boil or during fermentation?

And one last question, Should I freeze the raspberries then thaw and strain them?

Thanks a lot everybody!

No brewing for me - will be closely monitoring the festbier fermentation though.

Working on the brewery design for my new home though, so that kinda counts.

Nice!  Now comes the hard part: patience…

Some kind of IPA and a Brune based roughly on Maredsous 8 on Monday.

Not brewing anything but going to develop a Belgian Dubbel recipe this weekend
