wyeast liquid starter question

I recently ordered an all grain and included a wyeast liquid starter for it. I included an ice pack for it but it took three days to get here and when I opened box, it was warm and package was inflated. I immediately put it in refrigerator.  It has deflated some but wondering if I should use it.
Opinions?

thx

You can still use it, but may have better results by making a yeast starter with some DME.

thx.

I thought of a starter but going to brew this afternoon. Starter needs 24 hours right?

My starters are usually done around 18 hours, dependent on size, etc.
You could do a 1/2 liter starter and pitch the whole thing @ high krausen

Anything wrong with adding the wyeast and also a pack of dry yeast just in case?

That just depends on yeast strains, what you are brewing and what you’re looking for in the final product.  You’ll still make beer!
I should have clarified in my previous post that by making a small starter now, it should be ready to pitch today, you would just need to pitch the whole starter.
