Yeast Vault

Seems like White Labs is “opening” the vault, releasing all the strains currently available.

Guess I’ll finally be getting my Klassic Ale. Also, they’re letting folks buy into other strains, even if they haven’t been on the waitlist. If anyone has been on the fence, I’d strike now.

For reference, here’s the email I received:

[quote]White Labs is pushing ALL the yeast strains currently in The Vault into production. No need to wait until we hit 250 orders, place an order now and get your strain delivered right to your doorstep!

We’ll release two strains per week until the last one leaves The Vault. Once all the strains have been released, we’ll add the same strains back into The Vault and continually add NEW strains as well. There will still be a 250 pre-order minimum for a strain to go into production. Now is your chance to get these specialty strains without the wait.

Each week we will be cutting off orders for specific strains and pushing a new pair into production. The last day for you to order each strain from The Vault is as follows:

WLP773 Scottish Cider Yeast Blend - Already in production!
WLP030 Thames Ale Yeast - Already in production!

We hope you take advantage of this one-time offer. To order visit Yeast and Fermentation | White Labs and select the strain or strains you would like to purchase.

Happy Brewing!

I think I’ll be in for the High Pressure Lager Yeast. On the fence on the Klassic Ale.

I’d definitely like to try the 835 and Saison blend.

I’m interested in the WLP059 Melbourne Ale Yeast.  Maybe I’ll get a batch of Australian Sparkling Ale going.

HUGE THANKS for the heads-up on this, Phil!

I, also, will be getting the Klassic when it becomes available.

Cheers!

I was very happy with the 835, and know that Mark had been a huge proponent of the Klassic Ale yeast, so that could be another on one my list this time around

I’m looking at this one WLP564 Leeuwenhoek Saison Yeast Blend and debating getting WLP611 New Nordic Yeast Blend.

Yeah, I’m eyeing up 835 too.  I have wanted to try it for a while but never think to get in on it.

I feel for whitelabs. They want to provide a small volume of a large number of strains and be sustainable. I’ve been watching the vault and stuff has been way slow to get moved to production. I don’t have any better ideas, just empathizing.

I haven’t participated as nothing has jumped out at me but for the funky cider.

anyone have an idea on what yeasts are in the saison blend?

Is there any way to get in on the strains listed as Already in Production?  Or am I just too late to the party?
