Anyone have any ideas on why YeastCalc’s website is down?
I noticed that too. It made me sadz.

Here’s another site that has multiple starter steps.
I use brewers friend cuz I’m smart phone only. Can’t use spreadsheet or dl programs. No disk drive either lol. I think it rocks.
They’ve changed the URL from YeastCalc to YeastCalculator - but its thankfully still around.

EDIT - I see Mort (and possibly others) had already identified the new site. Me happy.
They should set up a redirect from the old to the new, unless they had to change it because they didn’t renew the registration on the old.
yay. I’m not sure but I think that someone else actually recreated it from the wording at the bottom. It sounds like they never got ahold of the guy… Thus a new domain was needed. Either way I’m just happy it’s back lol.

That’s correct. I was sad that yeastcalc.com went away and I tried to contact the owner/author of it, but was unsuccessful. So, I registered yeastcalculator.com, pulled a copy from archive.org and put it up. Glad that you guys found it and hope that you continue to find it useful!

Yeah… I’m not a fan of 2.0… The layout is less compact and the tab order is unfriendly. Just my 2 cents. For awhile he still have the original version up on the new site… but I don’t see it anymore…

That is not from the original author of yeastcalc.com. The author of that site has also not been able to contact the original author of yeastcalc.com. It is nice to have those calculators in HTML5 instead of flash though.

Dustin J. Sullivan. The only contact info I was able to find was his username on HBT (sent him a PM) and an obfuscated email address from the whois information from the domain.
