Does AHA Offer Job Opportunities for Members? I’m Looking for Brewer Work in California

Hello AHA community,

My name is Hacı Murat Koska. I live in Türkiye and have been involved in homebrewing for many years. I’m also active in beer education, sensory/judging, and brewing/production processes. The AHA’s resources and the homebrewing community’s culture of sharing have always been very valuable to me.

In the near future, if an opportunity comes up in California—especially Orange County, I would like to continue my career there for approximately 3–5 years. My sister lives in Orange County, which would be a meaningful advantage for me in terms of relocating and integrating into the local community.

I’d really appreciate your guidance on a few things:

  • Is there a place within AHA resources where job opportunities or “seeking employment” posts are commonly shared (such as the Forum “Classifieds” section)?

  • Around Orange County / Los Angeles, where is the best place to look for opportunities in roles such as brewer, cellar, QA/QC, production support, sensory/education, etc.?

  • Are there any homebrew clubs, events, meetups, or specific people/organizations in the area you would recommend connecting with?

My main goal is to meet the right people and contribute to the community, and—if the right opportunity arises—to become part of the local brewing ecosystem professionally as well. Thank you in advance for any suggestions, connections, or advice. :clinking_beer_mugs:

Best regards,
Hacı Murat Koska

No, the AHA is about supporting the hobby of homebrewing. For commercial opportunities, try the BA (Brewers Association). LA has a great homebrew club called The Maltose Falcons.
