Just as good as bottles. Our seams are just as good as the pro canning lines. I routinely carb my beer in cans (canditioning) and have even tested using 2x and 3x the amount of priming sugar
The beauty of canning is that you can fill to the very top of the can and when you put the end on it will actually squeeze out a small amount of beer. This allows for virtually zero head space. If anyone would like pictures of anything let me know!
Zero head space and beer on you or the counter when you go to open it later. I stopped buying beer from a few breweries because they couldn’t get their can volumes right.
Some brew pubs have begun offering the option to can 32 ounces of their beer in place of the traditional glass growler fill. Useful for taking your favorite beer where glass containers are not allowed.

Well the nice thing about canning your own beer is that you can choose how much to fill the can. I definitely recommend purging with CO2 when filling from a keg though if you plan on storing the cans for long periods of time.
I purchased one of these about 2 months ago. I love it. No more cleaning and saving bottles which is a big time saver. I found a local supplier and was able to pick up 1166 cans (3 rows on a pallets) for about $240. I could have gotten the price down if I went for a whole pallet but I thought 3900 cans would be overkill. I bought some home depot moving boxes and packed the cans into 6 of those. Im set for months and don’t have to clean a single bottle ![]()
