I’ve used a few different ones and nothing comes close to the Grainfather G40 in terms of build quality, ease of use and customer support. It’s expensive and worth every cent.
I’m a little familiar with low voltage electricity but have never installed a new breaker or a 240 outlet. I’m sure I could figure it out through youtube though! lol
I do hear great things about Blichmann products. The one thing I really wish that BrewEasy Compact has is a better controller with a touchscreen. Seems like Blichmann is fine keeping it simple on the electronics, but I guess I would prefer something a little more ‘high tech’ as I am a techy sort of guy. In that respect, I am now eyeballing the Brewtools B40. However, that is getting up there in price and with the add-ons it would put me around $2500 all-in. I have to seriously consider the cost of that one and if it’s really worth it to me when I only brew less than 6 times a year…
I do like to be hands-on but also like some automation that some models have along with a touchscreen. Seems like most brands have at least one downside to them, it’s just a matter of what can I deal without. And with brewing less than about 6 batches a year, I might just be a little too nit-picky at this point…
I’d take hands off just for a faster and easier brew day. Just so many pluses with an AIO. There’s a G-40 in my future.
