Seriously though, I agree, while I’m sure that full conversion can be obtained in 45 minutes (or less) under the right conditions, in a homebrew process why push it? Give it the 60 minutes or so to make sure it’s done.
Wow! Lots to take in! Since I posted this I have done a lot more research and invested in a 10 gal. Mash tun. Like I said before I am pretty sure it was simple lack of knowledge and eagerness to jump in a tad unprepared. Thanks for the info and now that I am loaded with a little know how I am gonna give it a shot again next weekend. Wish me luck!
