Yes I do. That is what I meant about being where the money is at. In general people who order beers at a micro want flavor. Regular IPAs and stouts dont cut it anymore and as Denny wrote in this competitive environment a brewery wants to stand out and rightly so.
Thus the need double this, triple that, imperial the other thing. Those are what sells so they brew those. There is a micro near where I am at that started doing sessions they now only have 1 beer under 5%.
My hypothesis is people equate lower alcohol with no flavor and that is true when served too cold and overcarbonated.
Bad enough “craft” breweries around here now charge $10 for a pint. Or, worse, $10 for 12 oz.
