As many of you know, I built brew houses for brewing 3 and 5 gallon batches when I re-entered the hobby in 2020 after a 4-year hiatus. Five gallon batches are larger than I want to brew at this point in my life, so I am sticking with my 3-gallon brew house. I have several 5-gallon batch specific items to sell. I have already sold my 10-gallon SS Brewtech TC Brew Kettle with whirlpool valve. I am offering a the 5-gallon batch mash tun that I built using all top-shelf parts in this listing. While This mash/lauter tun was built with continuous sparging in mind, it can be used for batch sparging.
Mash/Lauter Tun Build
10-gallon Igloo industrial cooler
12" Adventures in Homebrewing Stainless Steel Slotted False Bottom (my favorite false bottom design)
Brew Hardware Stainless Steel High-Flow Elbow
Brew Hardware Stainless Steel True Weldless Bulkhead - With Large Barb
Brew Hardware Stainless Steel Full-Port Ball Valve
Brew Hardward Stainless Steel Type F Male Cam Lock Fitting
I spent over $150 building this mash/lauter tun, so my price is firm. The mash tun is very clean and in as shown condition. My preference is for a local cash-and-carry sale. It is a large cooler, so shipping cost would based on size, not weight, making it cost prohibitive.
