2013 BJCP Board Elections: North, Northeast, Mountains/Northwest

This year three of the seven BJCP Board of Directors positions are up for election. For 2013 those regions are:

North Region
Alaska, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin
Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Yukon

Northeast Region
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont
New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec
All countries outside the United States and Canada are also included in this region.

Mountain/Northwest Region
Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming

Potential candidates will need to be nominated (by themselves or others) and have 5 endorsements.

Candidates

There was only one qualified candidate who was properly nominated and who accepted the nomination in the Northeast region. Ali Kocho-Williams (National) is declared the winner of this election, and will assume board duties on June 1, 2013. Please read his linked candidate statement. The election committee certifies that he met the election criteria and was unopposed at the time of election.

The North region has three qualified candidates: Al Boyce (incumbent, Grand Master III), Bruce Buerger (National), and Mike Winnie (Grand Master I). If you are in the North region, please take time to review their candidate statements and then cast your vote.

The Mountain/Northwest region has three qualified candidates: Bob Beckwith (National), Bob Hall (Grand Master I), and Ryan Thomas (Grand Master I). If you are in the Mountain/Northwest region, please take time to review their candidate statements and then cast your vote.
